Elsie Grace Freeman Taylor, 88, of Memphis, TN passed away Thursday, March 03, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Rev. Jimmy Harrington officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Taylor was born April 25, 1927, to the late Floyd and Hattie Lou Lucas Freeman in Lowndes County, MS.  She lived in Lowndes County almost her entire life and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Mrs. Taylor retired in 1990 from United Technologies after 27 years of service.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband – Cecil Taylor and 2 brothers – Glen Freeman and Horace Freeman.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son – Ron Taylor, Medina, TN; daughter – Donna Marie Taylor, Memphis, TN;  and granddaughter – Candy (David) Keener, Nolensville, TN.
