Emily "Grace" Renacker Emily "Grace" Renacker, born March 14, 1928, joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the age of 83. She was also known as "Amazing Grace" due to a long battle regarding a lengthy illness; her love and devotion to her church and singing God's praises, her favorite hymn being "Amazing Grace." She was an active member of Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church. She had a love and appreciation for life, family and friends along life's way. Emily Grace had unforgettable blue eyes accompanied by a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor. She reminded others often that she loved them by saying, "I love you to the moon and back." She was a strong, yet remarkable woman who warmed the hearts of those that knew her, always wanting to help others, many times opening her heart and home to family or friends in need. She had a never ending love for her husband and sweetheart of 63 years and for her six children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother usually winning the title of having the biggest family on Mother's Day. At home she tackled planning and preparing meals for family events for approximately 60 people, saying she enjoyed it, although it took her three days to prepare. She brought us so much joy and set a strong example for others to follow. She also loved travel, family vacations, church activities, flower gardening, music, dancing and was so proud of the babies born into her ever growing family. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Boyd Thomas and Ella Rainerr Thomas; son, George A. (Barbara) Renacker, III, Columbus, MS.
