Eric Bennett Todd, 54, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2013 from 3 to 7 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Genesis Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Darren Leach officiating. Mr. Todd was born June 14, 1959 in Los Angeles, CA to Persley Todd, Sr. and the late Marlene Bellinger. He was an OTR truck driver for Flexsteel Industries, Inc. for the past 8 years. Mr. Todd was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had lived in this area for the past 20 years having moved from St. Louis, MO. In addition to his mother, Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his daughter- Chanita Johnson; granddaughter- Cierra Johnson; brother- Persley Todd, Jr. and sister Anita Todd. Mr. Todd is survived by his wife Denise Johnson Todd, Columbus, MS; daughters- Angela Johnson and Regina Johnson-McClain both of St. Louis, MO and Taran Sheffield, San Antonio, TX; son- Eric Kinchen, Austin, TX, ; sister- Marlena Todd, Los Angeles, CA; brother- Brian Todd, Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren- Alphonzo Williams, Brianna McClain, Eric Johnson, Keyanna Kinchen, and Jeris Williams.
