Gladys Ermagene Rogers, 87 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 11:00 PM – 12:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating.

Ms. Rogers was born November 25, 1931, to the late Fred E. and Clophie C. Terry Thompson in New Madrid County, MO and had lived in Columbus, MS for over 50 years.  She worked as an administrative assistant with Shelter Insurance but primarily was a homemaker throughout her lifetime.  Ms. Rogers was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS where she taught preschool Sunday School for over 50 years.  She loved children and especially loved her great-grandchildren.  Ms. Rogers volunteered at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.  She also enjoyed traveling and made extensive trips throughout the world.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Rogers was preceded in death by her daughter – Jeanette D. Lee and 3 brothers.

Ms. Rogers is survived by her grandson – Michael (Jennifer) Lee, Brandon, MS, and great-grandchildren – Elizabeth Lee, Ian Lee and Rebecca Lee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Ward, Larry Esler, Ian Lee, and Robert Pope.
