Ernest "Ernie" Lavertte Nowland, Jr., 66, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, at UAB.

Mr. Nowland was born March 9, 1954, in Talladega, AL to the late Doris Larose May and Ernest Lavertte Nowland. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and finally go him a Harley Fat Boy. Mr. Nowland enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.

Mr. Nowland is survived by his sons- Ernie Nowland of Columbus, MS and Brian Nowland of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Byron Mackenzie Humbers, Ernest Lavertte, IV, Shaylynn LaRose Nowland, Raeleigh Mackae Nowland, and Lyam Ryder Mace Nowland.
