Essie Graham Richardson Essie Richardson, 94 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday June 15, 2012 at Trinity Place, Columbus, MS. Visitation was Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 2-4 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Meridian, MS with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS will be directing. Mrs. Richardson was born October 29, 1917 in Newberry County, S.C. to the late Earnest Otha and Eunice Pearl Ringer Graham. She was a native of Lowndes County since 1952. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She retired from Seminole Manufacturing Co. in 1981 with more than 28 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson is also preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Richardson, sisters – Sadie Jones, Dorothy Tessenary , Susan Overton, brothers – James Graham, Carroll Graham, Otis Graham, Dee Graham and Beaman Penna Graham. Mrs. Richardson is survived by son – Bobby O. (Sheila) Graham, Sr., Nashville, TN, sisters – Jessie Kitchen, Whitmire, S.C., Rebecca Parton, Concord, S.C., 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill King.
