Evelyn Livingston Abrams, 73, of Steens, MS passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 1:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Abrams was born October 14, 1943, in Lowndes County, MS to the late William Chester (WC) Livingston and Minnie Orene Harris Livingston. She was a member of Steens Baptist Church Steens, MS. Mrs. Abrams was a graduate of New Hope High School. She worked in the New Hope School cafeteria for 32 years before retiring in 2006. Mrs. Abrams loved yard work and flowers. She planted flowers everywhere she could. Mrs. Abrams enjoyed gardening very much. She loved to cook, go shopping and meeting new people. There wasn't a person she didn't know. Mrs. Abrams took care of her family during their times of need. She had unconditional love for all of her family and many other she met. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Abrams was preceded in death by her sisters- Bettie Ruth Williams, and Bessie Lee Nichols.

Mrs. Abrams is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles Milton Abrams; daughter- Pam Abrams Aldridge (Mike Rush); son- Christopher Mark (Kari Ann) Abrams; grandchildren- Michael Reid (Brittany) Aldridge, Kara Michele Abrams, William Hunter Abrams, and Logan Daniel Abrams; great grandchildren- Luke, Kinsley, Caleb, Leon, and Kailyn.

Pallbearers will be Mark Abrams, Mike Rush, Reid Aldridge, Barron McKee, Tommy Doughty, and Mitchell Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ables, Gary Moore, and David Livingston.
