Fannie Mae Ferguson Weathers Fannie Mae Ferguson Weathers, 86, of Columbus, MS passed away, Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Homeplace of Columbus, Columbus, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Weathers will be Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Carlton Weathers officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Weathers was born April 8, 1925 to the late James William & Lillie McReynolds Ferguson in Liberty, AL. She was a member of the Methodist church and lived in the local area for her entire lifetime. She worked as a welder at the Pascagoula Ship Yard before marrying Roy Weathers and becoming a mother and fulltime homemaker. Mrs. Weathers also enjoyed working in her flower garden. Mrs. Weathers is survived by her husband Roy Weathers - Columbus, MS, Daughters – Carol (Dan) Moore – Downsville, LA & Shirley (Terry) Bowles – Millport, AL, Sons – Roy (Deborah) Weathers – Columbus, MS, Bill Weathers – Birmingham, AL & Paul Weathers – Ellisville, MS. Grandchildren – Amber Hardin, Carlton Weathers, Jordan Weathers, William David Weathers, Jr., Allison Russo, Leann Davis, Shannon Bowles, Angela Bowles, 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Ellisville State School 1101 Hwy 11 South, Ellisville, MS 39437or Immanuel Christian Center for Education, 6405 Military Road, Steens, MS 39766.
