Rona Faye Crosby, 83, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, from 12:00-1:00pm at Fairview Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to immediately follow at 1:00pm. A private graveside service will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Crosby was born December 17, 1935, in Pickens County, AL, to the late Eulie Randolph and Mattie Lou G. Brown. She graduated as the valedictorian of New Hope High School, where she was voted Most Beautiful, served as a cheerleader and played basketball. She was a Baptist by faith and member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class and Choir. She had previously attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she served as Church Pianist. She worked tirelessly from home as a devoted wife and mother, always faithful and keeping God and church at the heart of her home. She enjoyed good southern cooking and was known for her caramel cakes and always having prepared wonderful pot roast lunches following church on Sunday. She enjoyed watching sports on television and above all else, spending time with her family, doting over her grandchildren and always fulfilling her duties as "Nanny" to the best of her abilities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Billy Wayne Cox, in 1992; granddaughter Catherine Richards; brother Randolph Brown and sister Catherine Ray.

She is survived by her husband Howard Ray Crosby; daughter: Vicki (Reuben) Atkinson of Piperton, TN; sons: Eric (Lori) Cox of Arlington, TN and Neal (Susan) Cox of Holly Springs, MS; step-daughters: Stephanie (Kevin) Shirley of Meridian, MS and Elizabeth (Guy) Richards of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren: E.J. (Emilee) Cox, Tripp (Mallory) Atkinson, Blake (Christy) Cox, Jenna (Wade) Phillips, Tyler (Mallory) Cox, Christina Sievers, Amber (Cody) Martin, Jeremy Atkinson, Cole Shirley and Jack Richards; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters: Jean James and Jewell Woodward.

Memorial services will be officiated by Pastor Jeff James and with graveside services officiated by Bro Tommy Gillon. Mrs. Crosby's grandsons will all be recognized as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
