Frances Jones Nelson, 72, of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS

Mrs. Nelson was born on December 26, 1949, to Blanche Marie Smith Jones and John David Jones, in Jackson, Alabama.  She was the wife of George Nelson and the mother of four children.  Mrs. Nelson was a member of Hope Community Church, Columbus, MS and worked as a LPN for many years.  She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild.

Mrs. Nelson Is survived by her husband – George Nelson, daughters – Tracy Hall and Jennifer Goodman, sons – George Nelson, Jr. and Darrin Ray, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.  As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
