Frances Gibson Stephenson Frances Gibson Stephenson, 66 of Columbus, MS passed away, Thursday, March 01, 2012 at Regency Hospital, Meridian, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Stephenson will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:30 – 10:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 A.M. with Bro. J. Clark and Bro. Randy Tolleson, officiating with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at a later date in the historic Key West Cemetery, Key West, FL. Mrs. Stephenson was born October 18, 1945 to the late Francisco Hernandez and Isabella Rivero Hernandez in Key West, FL. She moved to Columbus, MS in 1982 from Stockdale, TX. Mrs. Stephenson was a former volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS, loved gardening and her grandchildren; she was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Stephenson retired in 1990 as a caretaker after 10 years. In addition to her parents Mrs. Stephenson was preceded in death by her husband - Charles Steve Stephenson and sister – Isabell "Pupi" Estrada. Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her sons – Michael (Kim) Gibson, Columbus, MS and Jason (Allison) Gibson, Collierville, TN, brother – Francisco "Chino" Hernandez, Jr., Ocala, FL, 5 grandchildren – Hilton Gibson, Joseph "Brennan" Gibson, Dawson Gibson, Macallan Gibson and Kaylie Gibson, great-grandchild – Sophie Dowdy. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lance Busch and Staff, CCU nurses at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, All the doctors and nurses at Regency Medical Center, Meridian, MS.
