Frances P. Trepanier Frances Powers Trepanier, 80 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Trepanier will be Friday, May 18, 2012 from 1 - 2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Ed Maurer officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Trepanier was born August 15, 1931 in Columbus, MS to the late Raymond and Gracie Bell Stevens Powers. She was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and was a member of First Christian Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Trepanier loved reading, gardening, and cooking. She was part-owner of Gateway Florist up until her retirement in 2005. Mrs. Trepanier was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women with a Master's Degree in history and only required six more hours to receive her Doctorate Degree. Mrs. Trepanier is survived by her husband - Trip Trepanier, Columbus, MS; son - Dale Robertson, Columbus, MS; daughter - Dana (John) Halvorsen, Jacksonville, FL; and grandchildren - Alex Robertson, Christine Halvorsen, Ben Halvorsen, and Daniel Halvorsen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of First Christian Church, Columbus, MS, Wayne Trepanier, and Basil Trepanier.
