Frank Junior Ponds, age 72, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 10:00 AM in Andrews Chapel Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Bro. Stephen Joiner officiating and Bro. Granville Wiggins assisting and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Ponds was born on August 3, 1945, in McShan, AL to the late Joseph Woodrow and Annie Earl Jaynes Ponds. He worked as a welder for many years and was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle Church. Mr. Ponds loved his donkeys, guns, knives and all his gadgets. He was an avid gun collector and he also loved his Lord. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ponds was preceded in death by his wife- Delores Jean Ponds and his sister- Betty Ann Ponds.

Mr. Ponds is survived by his wife- Cacielie Ayers Ponds of Columbus, MS; daughters- Lisa (Randy) Tennyson, and Rebecca (Stephen) Williams, Kimberly Ayers, Jessica (Shane) Vaughan; sons- Michael (Heather Rowland) Ayers, and Christopher Ayers; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother- James (Rachel) Ponds; and sister- Brenda (Waymon) Byars.

Pallbearers will be James Ponds, Michael Ayers, Christian Robertson, Ryan Tennyson, Quintez Ponds, Stephen Williams, Randy Tennyson, and Gary Dedeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Ponds, Billy Ponds, and Daniel Ponds.
