Fred Allen Hill

Fred Allen Hill, 85, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Windsor Place in Columbus. He was born February 8, 1941, in Woodland to Woodrow and Bonnie Hill. He was a longtime pipefitter and welder. He attended Brush Arbor Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and boating.

Services will be 1 PM Friday at Lowndes Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Chappell officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Egger Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his four daughters, Barbara Jean Belhumeur of Phoenix, AZ, Libby Strickland of Columbus, Bonnie Scruggs of Tupelo and Diana Klinock (Max) of Nashville, TN; one sister, Earlene Dolittle (Bob) of Raymond; one brother, Butch Hill (Kathy) of Columbus; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Willow

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Saundra Hill and one sister, Virginia Dickerson.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11-1 Friday at Lowndes Funeral Home.
