Gary Wayne Boone, 59 of Caledonia, MS passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, at his residence. Graveside services will be Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery in Columbus, MS with Bro. Grant Mitchell officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Boone was born February 25, 1954, in Hamilton, MS to the late William and Cordie Flake Boone. He retired in 2007 as a carpenter. Mr. Boone was a member of United Pentecostal Church, Caledonia, MS. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boone is preceded in death by his sisters – Cornelia Williams, Byrdie McCool; brothers – Jim Boone, Jack Boone, Steven Boone; and grandchild – Harleigh Boone. Mr. Boone is survived by his wife – Sylvia Jean Boone, Caledonia, MS; daughter – Carol Boone, Columbus, MS; sons – Steven (Amanda) Boone, Gulf Shores, AL, Matthew (Keri) Boone, Columbus, MS; sister – Mary Jane (Royce) Taylor, Columbus, MS; brother – William (Melba Thompson) Boone, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Canyon Boykin, Dustin David, Ashton Boone, Kelsey Boone; and great grandchildren – Canyon Boykin and Kingsley David. Pallbearers will be Canyon Boykin, Dustin David, Sterling McCool, Scott Boone, Danny Boone, and Jerry Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond McCool, Royce Taylor, Timothy Taylor, and men at United Pentecostal Church, Caledonia, MS.
