Gary Lee Herman, 63 of Starkville, MS passed away Thursday, February 07, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital –GT, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 6 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Jody Gurley officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Herman was born December 26, 1949 in York, PA. He has been a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 33 years. Mr. Herman was an Antique Appraiser and Dealer, he worked for Riverhill Antiques for the past 15 years. Mr. Herman was of the Baptist faith, he loved antiques, gardening and fishing. He is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Henry Herman. Mr. Herman is survived by his mother-Romaine Martin Bates, York, PA, children-Holly Brinkley, Columbus, MS, John Herman, Pensacola, FL, and Christy Herman, West Point, MS, sisters- Debbie Flickinger, Dallas, TX and Lou Ann Ryer, York, PA, grandchildren- Ashley Brinkley, Alyssa Brinkley, Emilee Bowen, Amy Herman and Christopher Herman.
