Gary Leroy Jacobs, Sr.,  77, of Caledonia, MS passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Vineyard Court Nursing Center, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 7, 2021,  from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A private graveside will be at Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS.

Mr. Jacobs was born on April 28. 1944, in Alabama to the late Lela Mixon Jacobs and Leroy Buck Jacobs. He was an auto mechanic for many years, enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jacob is preceded in death by his siblings- Agnes Jacobs Noland, Robert "RJ" Jacobs, and Leon Jacobs.

Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dorothy Kay; children, Gary (PJ) Jacobs, Jr. of Caledonia, MS, Robert (Tamara) Jacobs of Caledonia, MS, Sherry (Arl) Taylor of Pass Christian, MS, Donna Maloney of Columbus, MS; step-children- James (Opal) Wood of Tulsa, OK, Chris (Jenny) Green of Tupelo, MS, Jason (Ashley) Wood of Fairbanks, AK, and Trudy (Ray) Cook of Steens, MS; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and sister- Nelda Duncan.

Pallbearers will be Chris Green, Zac Taylor, Dana Duncan, Robert Linn Jacobs, Montana Jacobs, and Greg Jacobs. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Wood, James Wood, Michael Maloney, and Eli Taylor.
