Mr. Wittke was born on October 16, 1949, to the late Gayron Anderson and Dorothy Virginia Shelton Wittke in Columbus, MS.  He was married to Retha Misso Wittke for over 50 years. He also loved to attend Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  Mr. Wittke retired in 2014 after working with Mitchell Distributing after 12 years.  He also was employed with United Technologies for 33 years.  Mr. Wittke was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He received Army commendations medals as well as a Bronze Star.  He not only loved his family but also his fur kids.  He was also an avid supporter of MSU Bulldogs.

Mr. Wittke is survived by his wife – Retha Wittke, Columbus, MS; daughter – Shonda (Terry) Wittke, Vance, AL; son – Chris (Teresa) Wittke, Columbus, MS; sister – Gail Price, Amory, MS; brother – Joe Wittke, Springfield, VA and Tony Wittke, Columbus, MS; grandchildren – Katelyn (Westin) Dick, Lexi Wittke, Chelsea Teague, and Ryker Wittke.
