George A. Boykin, also known as "Bubba" to those who loved him, age 67, of Columbus, MS, left this world Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10 PM.  He was surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.  He went home to be with is son and the Lord.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Memorial Service will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Graveside will follow at Memorial Gardens in Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with all arrangements.

Bubba was born on January 20, 1957 to the late Ed and Margaret Boykin of Macon, Mississippi.  Bubba was the most hard-working man as they come.  He worked his whole life  to provide for his family, as a testament of his love for them.  Those who knew him knew that he loved to cook and fish.  His biggest love was his guns, God, and his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son – Kenneth George Boykin; and brother – Lehman Boykin.  He is survived by his childhood love – his wife of 47 years – Nancy Ruth Boykin; daughter – Nancy Gail Boykin Christ (Vinnie Getz); grandchildren – Gabriel Austyn Christ and Brianna Jade Christ; brother – John Boykin; sisters – Patsy Watson, Peggy Haynes, Ann Hobbs, and Katherine Elmore; numerous nieces and nephews, and his fur babies – Jake, Rooster, and Red.
