Mr. George Hayes Gore, 77, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle.

Visitation service is scheduled for 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel.  The interment will be at Forest Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Gore was born on January 25, 1945, in Ethelsville, AL to the late Lois Williamson Gore and Fred Jake Gore.  He was a mechanic known as the "Ford Man".  Mr. Gore loved dirt track racing, working in his yard, and spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Peavey and Hazel Hudson, and a son, George Scott Gore.

He is survived by his daughters – Wendy Davidson and Amanda Jewell; son – Andrew Forestner; grandchildren – Taylor Jewell, Harley Davidson, and Dalton Davidson; brother – Tommy Lee Gore; sisters – Virginia Barton and Judy Hanson; and close friend – Cheyenne Moore.
