Georgia Mary Whitmire, 59, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Whitmire was born February 5, 1962 in North Tonawanda, NY to the late Mary Nolan Power and Irving Power. She was a huge dog lover, having 5 of her own. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband- Wayne Alan Whitmire.

Mrs. Whitmire is survived by her daughter- Erin (Edward) Parisian, son- Jacob (Jeniffer) St. Laurent both of Houston, TX; step children- Brandon (Stephanie) Whitmire of Ethelsville, AL, Cheryl (Murray) Woody of Columbus, MS; 2 grandchildren; brothers- Brian Power of Columbus, MS, Steve Power of Brandon, MS, Jim Power of Philadelphia, PA; sisters- Lorie Land of New Orleans, LA, Janet Hefel of Columbus, OH, Karen George Pierce City, MO.
