Gerald ?Buddy? Wilcox, 68 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his residence.

Visitation was held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 6 ? 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Lammons, officiating and Bro. Ralph Windle, assisting. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Wilcox was born March 28, 1942 in Pickens County, AL to Mazie Wilcox and the late Robert Wilbert Wilcox. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS. Mr. Wilcox was employed with Ceco Building Systems. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gospel music and loved spending time with his family. Mr. Wilcox was a member of Forest United Methodist Church, Ethelsville, AL.

Mr. Wilcox is survived by his wife, Patsy Wilcox, Columbus, MS; son, Guy Wilcox, Ethelsville, AL; daughter, Gina (Bart) Beaird, Columbus, MS; brother, Bobby Wilcox, Russellville, AR; sisters, Betty Ann Phillips, Columbus, MS; Bicki Sansing, Ethelsville, AL; grandchildren, Bailey Beaird and Tyler Beaird.

Pallbearers will be Bob Wilcox, Steve Wilcox, David Wilcox, Kevin Phillips, Mike Phillips, Alan Sansing, Ashley Sansing, Brian Albrighton and Dan Brownlee.
