Gerry Burleson, 50, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

The family will hold a private service.

Mr. Burleson was born on December 18, 1969, in Columbus, MS to Doris Burleson and the late Grady Burleson. He grew up in Steen, MS and attended  New Hope, and graduated from Caldwell in 1988. He went on to MUW and graduated with his Bachelor's in Comp. Science in 1992. Mr. Burleson loved his job at Mississippi State University. His hobbies were being at his family farm and almost anything to do with cars. Mr. Burleson is preceded in death by his father- Grady Burleson.

Mr. Burleson is survived by his children-Amanda Burleson of Hattiesburg, MS and Grady Clay Burleson of New Hope, MS;  mother- Doris Northington Markham of Steen, MS; and brother- Terry (Jennifer) Burleson of North Carolina.
