Gerthlene P. Reynolds, 77 of Steens, MS passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2013, from 6-8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 10 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Walter Butler officiating. Interment will be in Furnace Hill Cemetery, Vernon, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Reynolds was born July 13, 1935, in Lamar County, AL to the late Travis and Dovie Robertson Pennington. She was a lifetime resident of Lowndes County, MS and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed quilting, gardening, going to the YMCA in Caledonia, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reynolds is preceded in death by her husband – Billy Reynolds and sister – Louise Stapp. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her son – Jerry (Sandra) Reynolds, Steens, MS; daughter – Patricia Gilmore, Caledonia, MS; brother – Walter Pennington, Columbus, MS; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Isreal Sudduth, Josh Gilmore, Josh Westbrook, Jacob Sudduth, Ethan Monahan, Kris Monohan, and Ben Murphy. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
