Virginia (Ginny) Wheeler, 89, of Columbus, Mississippi passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Daughter of the late William Arthur Wallace and Juanita Robinson Wallace and sister to the late William Glenn Wallace.  Ginny is predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill Wheeler, and is survived by son, Larry Wheeler and daughter-in-law, Jean Wheeler; granddaughters Kim Wheeler Lee (fiance', Todd Baker), and Kris Wheeler McGlone (husband, Tim McGlone); four great-grandchildren, Madison Taylor Lee, Jackson Gladstone Lee, Brady Scott McGlone and Parker Elizabeth McGlone.

Due to health reasons, Ginny moved to Georgia when Bill passed away in 2013. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ginny's passion in life was camping with Bill (and the Holiday Rambler camping club), spending time with her family, baking cookies, cakes, and delicious food, as well as making quilts.  Active pallbearers are Tim McGlone and Todd Baker (both from Loganville, GA), Freddie Fowler, Mike Derby, Todd Derby, Mearl Sims (from Columbus, MS) and Ginny's two great grandsons - Jackson Lee and Brady McGlone.

Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Lowndes Funeral Home & Crematory at 1131 N. Lehmberg Rd., Columbus, Mississippi  39702.  A funeral service  will follow at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry M. Robinson officiating.  Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Millport, Alabama with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
