Obituary

Glen Anderson, 76, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019, at 11:00AM from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a visitation will be one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Dr. Bill Hurt will officiate and Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow from the church cemetery.

Glen Edgar Anderson was born July 08, 1943 in Illinois, to the late Charles and Alma Anderson. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Air Force and worked with Civil Service for many years. A devoted family man, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. A Baptist by faith, he attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He loved his church family, and was always welcoming of visits from fellow church friends. He enjoyed doing word searches and was an avid fan of dirt track racing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Douglas Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, of over 53 years, Linda Kay Anderson; son Charles "Chuck" (Janet) Anderson; daughter Christi (Lee) Ray all of Columbus; grandchildren: Christopher Anderson, Gracie Anderson, Emily Anderson, Haley Anderson and Rylee Ray; brother Gary (Beverly) Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Mr. Anderson's nephews, recognized as honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Building Fund 1383 Pleasant Hill Road, Columbus, MS 39702
