Glenn Avery Palmer, 67, died May 11, 2020, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the current restrictions. Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Palmer, currently a resident of Starkville, was born February 11, 1953, in Columbus to the late Gayner and Lois Palmer and moved to Caledonia at an early age. He was a 1971 graduate of Caledonia High School who immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force, retiring after more than 20 years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Palmer is predeceased by his sister Patsy and step-mother Cathy Pennington.
He is survived by his wife Annemarie; sons Philipp Palmer of Chicago, IL, and Christoph Rixen of Ingolstadt, Germany; daughter Isabel Rixen (Ron); grandson Jamie, both of Stuttgart, Germany; and sisters Wanda Cahill (Brian) of Port St. Joe, FL; Debra George (Doug) of Caledonia; Trudy Cook (Ray); and Donna Maloney, both of Columbus.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or other charity of the donor's choice.
