Gregory Marshal Malone, 56, of Columbus, MS, passed away on April 28, 2024, at his residence.

Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Malone was born March 30, 1968, in Aberdeen, MS, to Bill Malone and Ruby Dell Roebuck Malone. Greg's greatest mission was to make sure everyone knew Jesus as their Savior. He lived out his testimony by being a faithful husband, a loving father, deacon, and active church member. He was active in the community through the American Legion and Last House on the Block. He was also a member of the Rick and Bubba Fan Club. He served the best cup of coffee and fresh donuts at First Baptist each Sunday. He was glad to have served his country in the Navy. He was a hard worker and a dedicated employee throughout his life – the latest being at Dutch Oil for 7 years. He loved target shooting and watching numerous sports, but his favorite teams to watch were the MSU Bulldogs and Dallas Cowboys.  He leaves behind a legacy of love for his family, friends, and pets. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He would encourage you to talk to someone today about your salvation. He would want you to know Jesus loves you.

Mr. Malone is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather – James Roebuck; and paternal grandparents – Marshal and Clara Bacon Malone.  He is survived by his wife- Diane Paterakis Malone; sons- Marshal (Chelsea) Malone and Anthony (Mallory) Malone; daughter- Madison Malone; grandchildren- Amory Bleu Malone, Sophia Grey Malone, and Charles Gregory Malone, both soon to come; parents- Bill and Dell Malone; brother- Ken (Sonya) Malone; maternal grandmother – Ruby Boyd Roebuck; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
