Harolyn Joyce Quick, 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her residence. Known as "Hallie" by all her friends and family, she lit up every room she walked into with laughter.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS.

Hallie was born July 18, 1942, in West Point, MS to the late Earlene Griffin Smith and Harold "Slim" Smith. She graduated with the Class of 1960 and was voted "Class Clown" of the Senior Class at New Hope High School. Hallie worked as. secretary for many years at Dresser Atlas but spent the majority of her time on earth being a home maker, devoted wife, quirky and loving mom, overworked grandmother, and an amazing friend.

Hallie was everyone's best friend. She was the person you could count on for advice anytime day or night. She made everyone happy when they had the privilege to spend time with her. The world was a better place with her in it and Heaven is lucky to have gained such an angel.

Hallie was married to David Quick for 60 beautiful years. He was her everything until her last breath. They raised a beautiful family together, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Hallie is survived by her husband of 60 years- David Quick, Sr.; sons- David Quick, Jr., Robert Quick, and Steven Quick; daughters- Pam Guyton, Amy (Brian) Albritton, and Pennye (Derek) Hudson; 14 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; and sister- Faye (Ted) Conn; her lifelong best friend, Sharon "Sport" Chaney, and 1 bonus daughter, Holly Atkins Rogers.

Pallbearers are David Quick, Sr., David Quick, Jr., Robert Quick, Steven Quick, Brian Allbritton, Derek Hudson, Trey Guyton, & Griffin Guyton.

Honorary Pallbearers are William "Bill" Everett Quick, Lewis Ray Quick, and James Rogers.
