Harriette Louise Pitts, 68, of Steens, MS, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle.

A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 PM, October 17, 2022, at 626 Chestnut Street, Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Harriette was born on November 14, 1953, to the late Ray Smithers and Anne Wilkins Smithers in Memphis, TN.

She is survived by her husband, Coy Wayne Pitts; daughter, Valerie Anne Lawson; grandchildren Wayne Monroe Lawson and James Daniel Lawson; and sisters Katy Hill and Cindy Layne.
