Harry Randall Strickland, 69 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, at U.A.B. Hospital, Birmingham, AL.

There will be a private family burial at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Strickland was born May 30, 1950, to the late Carl David and Bettie Elaine Heuer Strickland in Pierre, S.D.  He moved to Columbus over 20 years ago from Louisiana.  Mr. Strickland was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Columbus, MS and loved to work in the garden and ride motorcycles. Mr. Strickland was a veteran of the United States Navy.   He retired in 2018 from Mississippi University for Women where he was employed in the maintenance department for 10 years.

Mr. Strickland is survived by his son – Brian Rowley, South Carolina; sister – Cheryl Abernathy, Columbus, MS, and brother – Ricky Strickland, Hamilton, MS, grandchild - Taylor Rowley
