Hazel Ruth Jaynes, 96, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating. Interment will be at Mineral Springs Cemetery, McShan, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Jaynes was born May 21, 1921, in Pickens County, AL to the late Fred. E. Manning and the late Vera Lee Atkins Manning. She worked as a beautician for Ferguson's Barber and Beauty Shop for 39 years. Ms. Jaynes loved to read books and sew. She also loved to take care of her family. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jaynes was preceded in death by her Husband Samuel Eugene Jaynes.

Ms. Jaynes is survived by her sister- Patty Daniel; sister-in-law- Merle Jaynes; nieces- Roxana Lee Denman and Faith Shipman; and special friends- Sean Harper and Pam Harper.

Pallbearers will be Howard Denman, Bill Plyer, Eddie Perkins, Sean Harper, Charlie Harper, and Tyler McShan.

Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
