Hazel Pauline Smith, 93, of Cumming, GA passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, at her residence. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be Friday, September, 4, 2015 at 2 pm at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Ethelsville, AL with Rev. Lynn Gibson officiating. Interment will be at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Smith was born on February 19, 1922 to the late C. H. Richardson and Maddie Hancock Richardson in Columbus, MS. She loved Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and going to the Forsyth Senior Center in Cumming, GA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband-William Edeth Smith, 4 brothers, and 9 sisters. Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons-Eddie (Cindy) Smith, Columbus, MS; W. C. Smith, Ethelsville, AL; and Bobby Smith, Cumming, GA; daughter-Paula Ayers, Millport, AL; Grandchildren-Curt (Tera) Smith, Greg (Melani) Smith, Karen Smith, Dave Ayers, Lance (Jennifer) Ayers, Kellie Jo (Winn) Prescott, Lauren (Tony) McDill, Andrew (Heather) Smith, Luke (Kristen) Smith, and Grant Smith; and great-grandchildren-Keller Smith, Ty Smith, Reese Smith, Ashton Hays, Anna Beth Ayers, Presley Ayers, Evan Ayers, Trey Ayers, Ava Kate Prescott, Jaycie Rose McDill, Jay Cooper McDill, Lane Smith, Finn Smith, Hadley Smith, and Camden Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
