Helen Mae Logan, 94 passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at her home in Columbus, MS.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Steve Joiner of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Logan was born January 12, 1924 in Birmingham, AL to Elaine and George W. Simmons, Jr. She married Albert "Terry" Logan, July 04, 1942. Together they moved to Columbus, MS and became members of the First Church of the Nazarene. They raised their family in Columbus as she enjoyed a long working career as a sales associate with Eggers and Woolco, in Columbus. Mrs, Logan also worked with Bosch until her retirement. She loved to travel, enjoyed shopping and spending time with her friends, children, grandchildren and church family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert "Terry" Logan in 1977 and her parents.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of the family she leaves behind; son - Michael Logan of Columbus, MS; daughters - Marilyn Logan of White Bear Lake, MN and Rebecca (Lance) Mitchener of Bolivia, NC; Sister - Doris Robinson of Millport, AL; Grandchildren - Traci Wahman, Amy Hyser, Justin Mitchner, Rebecca Lynn Logan and Terry Logan; Great Grandchildren: - Anthony Logan Tidwell, Cecilia Tidwell, Sam Hyser and Savannah Hyser.
Pallbearers will be Bernarr Howell, Roger Tousley, Bruce Williams, Lonnie Clardy, Arky Beal and Billy Woods.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Beatty, Cecil Pew and Mrs. Logan's nurse and special friend - Delois Malone, as well as the whole Malone family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to The First Church of the Nazarene, 2722 Ridge Rd, Columbus, MS 39705.
