Herbert Eads, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Junior Eads officiating. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery, Columbus,MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Eads was born January 1, 1936, in Monroe County, MS to the late Helen Iown Honnell Eads and James Morgan Eads. He loved hunting, trapping, fishing, and racing. Mr. Eads was an Atlanta Braves Fan and was in the Northwest Alabama Club. He had a Heat and Air conditioning business for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eads is preceded in death by his son- Myron Eads; brothers- James Melvin Eads, Earl Ray Eads, James Woody Eads, and Roy Eads; sisters- Beatrice Akin, Ethelene Pace and Irene Hankins.

Mr. Eads is survived by daughters- Angie (Mike) Boutwell of Columbus, MS, Jennifer (Bud) Lowe of Columbus, MS, and Pam (Jim) Painter of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Forest (Megan) Boutwell of Columbus, MS, Dallas (Dayleigh) Boutwell of Columbus, MS, Dusty (Brooke) Snider of Columbus, MS, Allie (Chase) Rogers of Tupelo, MS, Whittney (Jonathan) Youngblood of Southaven, MS, Laura (Ryan) Newman of Vicksburg, MS, Amy (Lewis) Sharp of Columbus, MS, Kelly Johnston of Columbus, MS, Jessie (Hailey) Painter of Columbus, MS, Justin Painter of Columbus, MS, Sydney (Tirrell) Colister of Southaven, MS, and Keith (Kristan) Painter of Olive Branch, MS; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters- Marie Wallace, and Lavel Bennett and special friend- Faye Smith Stark of Columbus, MS;

Pallbearers will be Forrest Boutwell, Dallas Boutwell, Dusty Snider, Jessie Painter, Keith Painter, Luke Holman, Chase Rogers, and Jonathan Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be Brooks Swink, Tim Parker, and Judson Lambert.
