Herbert Jones, 78, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Jones was born August 14, 1939, in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Tenicious and Fannie Mae Jones. He attended church at the Church of God, Columbus, MS. Mr. Jones was an Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Air Force for 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- Olan Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife- Wanda Jones of Columbus, MS; sons- Mark Jones of West Point, MS, Tim Jones of West Point, MS, and Lakoda Jones of Columbus, MS; daughter- Tammy Jones of West Point, MS; brothers- Wallace Jones of Shreveport, LA and Mike Jones of Austin, TX; sisters- Charlotte Johnson of Huntsville, AL and Elizabeth Holden of Huntsville, AL; and one grandchild- Baylie Reese Jones.
