Hester Mae Enlow, 88, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at her residence. Visitation will be Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Jimmy Ray officiating and Mr. Ray Crane assisting. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Enlow was born May 22, 1927, to the late James Riley and Myrtle Russell Pounders in Cherokee, AL. She was always there for her family and was loved by everyone. Mrs. Enlow was known for her cooking, especially her fried apple pies. Mrs. Enlow married her husband of 48 years, Curtis Enlow, in Iuka, MS on February 3, 1945. She was employed with United Technologies, Columbus, MS for 37 years. In her spare time, Mrs. Enlow loved watching sports and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys Fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband-Curtis Enlow; son-Charles Enlow; granddaughter-Bethe Enlow; 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. Mrs. Enlow is survived by her son-Dale (Jeannine) Enlow, Columbus, MS; daughters-Syble (George) Woods, Amory, MS; Betty (Charles) Forrester, Sandra (Tony) Vaughan, and Shelia (Richard) Faulkner, all of Columbus, MS; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister-Juanita Woodruff, Tishomingo, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ricky Forrester, Craig Barham, Chad Turner, Josh Turner, Eric Vaughan, and Brandon Forrester. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
