Ilene Clark, 96, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at her residence.

A visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 1-2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Ken Holliman officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Clark was born on May 13, 1924, in Walker County, AL to the late Ruth Davis and Bert Chain, Sr. She was a member of Bread of Life Church and enjoyed reading her Bible. Mrs. Clark worked for Seminole as a supervisor for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and quilting. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her husband- Edward Clark; brothers- Henry Chain, J.C. Chain, and Nelson Chain; and sister-Nancy Perkins.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her sons- David Jewell of Hamilton, AL and Larry Jewell of Columbus, MS; brother-Bert Chain of Columbus, MS; 3 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dale Shelton, Chris Jewell, Ronnie Chain, Zachery Shelton, Chris Chain, Allen Shelton, and Anthony Chain. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Chain, James Chain, and Harm Chain.
