Ruby Inez Townsend, age 92, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025.

A visitation will be on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM, officiated by Bro. Jody Andrews. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Born in Wesson, Mississippi, on March 29, 1933, to the late Willie and Thelma Hargon Minton. She lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, music, and devotion to her family. Inez was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the owner of Townsend Music in Columbus, MS for over 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son- Steve Townsend and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Phillip (Becky) Townsend of Tupelo, MS, and Craig (Denise) Townsend of Kingwood, TX; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
