Hazel Irene Atkins, age 79, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, at Trinity Healthcare Center, Columbus, MS.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Atkins was born on December 14, 1938, in Enid, OK to the late Lloyd R. and Diane Leseberg Campbell. She was a homemaker and was a member of 7 ^th Street Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by her husband- Lawrence Mayo Atkins, Sr. and her son- Michael "Tony" Atkins.

Mrs. Atkins is survived by her sons- Chris (Carol) Atkins and Larry (Angie) Atkins both of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Aimee Atkins and Kristyn Atkins; step-grandchild- Ashli Gilliam; 7 step- great-grandchildren; sisters- Lida McCollough and Anita (Gerald) Wilkes; and brothers- Leroy Campbell and Paul Campbell.
