Loving mother and grandmother, who loved her church and God, Irene Blanton Foster Boykin, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away, Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Ben Yarber officiating and Bro. Paul Shaw and Bro. Danny Avery assisting. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Boykin was born March 28, 1933, to the late Charles L. and Ellie Davis Blanton in Mantee, MS.  She was a garment inspector at Red Kap Industries for about 27 years and a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband-Rev. Eddie Foster; husband-William "Sonny" Boykin.

Mrs. Boykin is survived by her daughters-Sherron Littles Foster, Columbus, MS; Debbie (Tommy) Brownlee, Columbus, MS; and Joyce (Dave) Stockdale, Washington; sons-Bobby (Cheryl) Foster, Austin, TX; Tim Foster, Columbus, MS; Kenny (Patricia) Boykin, Macon, MS; and Ricky Boykin, Macon, MS; grandsons-William "Bill" (Ashley) Brownlee, Joe (Laura) Brownlee, Kenny Ray (Jenny) Boykin, and Dwayne Littles; granddaughters-Tiffany Webster, Tina (Michael) Hunter, Drhonda Beard, and Nicki Foster; great-granddaughters-Carlee Dudley, Morgan Brownlee, Camdyn Cook, Lauren Brown, and Sunnie Beard; great-grandsons-Dalton Munford, Mitchell Boykin, Zach Boykin, Tyler Hunter, Brian Webster, Caden Webster, and Cory Beard; sisters-Edna Simpson, San Antonio, TX ;Olene Dillard, Warner Robins, GA; and Joann Burns, Uma, AZ.

Pallbearers will be William "Bill" Brownlee, Joe Brownlee, Dwayne Littles, Kenny Ray Boykin, Marion Johnson, Tommy Foster, and Curtis Foster. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cory Beard, Dr. Brett Brown, Dr. Bart Williams, Bro. P. J. Mortenson, all deacons of Canaan Baptist Church, and the Ladies B Class at Canaan Baptist Church.
