Melanie Ivey Yarbrough, 59, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A memorial service will be Friday, August 19, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bo Jeffares officiating.

Mrs. Yarbrough was born May 7, 1957 to Peggy Cook and the late Charles Hollis in Marietta, FL.  She enjoyed drawing, and arts and crafts.  Mrs. Yarbrough especially loved her dogs – Dakota, Booger and all animals.  She also enjoyed camping and gardening.  She loved to sew and worked as a seamstress most of her life.  In addition to her father, Mrs. Yarbrough was preceded in death by her husbands – Hollis Nabors and Steve Yarbrough.

Mrs. Yarbrough is survived by her daughter – Connie "Cricket" Desmond, Columbus, MS; sons – Charles Britt – Hamilton, MS and Wesley Hill, Magnolia, TX; Mother – Peggy Cook, Marietta, FL; 3 grandchildren; many step-children and step-great grandchildren.
