Ivy Knight

Ivyloy “Ivy” Knight, 86, of Columbus, MS, passed away on December 27, 2025.

A visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home.

Mr. Knight was born on January 30, 1939 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Zelbert Knight and Geraldine Shepherd Knight. He married Ann Lindley Knight on December 7, 1985 in Vernon, Alabama. Before retiring in 2024, he was a business owner for over 50 years. At one time, he owned over 10 stores located in Mississippi and Alabama, such as Salvage Shoe Store and later Ivie’s Outlet. Mr. Knight loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, where he had traveled to 7 times. He was such a kind-hearted person and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Knight is preceded in death by his son – Ricky Knight and granddaughter – Sophie Ann Weathers. He is survived by his wife of 40 years – Ann Lindley Knight of Columbus, MS; children – Kay Shavnore of Panama City Beach, FL, Terry Knight of Youngstown, FL, Toni (Mark) Dubose of Manning, S.C., Ivy (Josette) Knight of Elberta, AL, Tim (Deb) Knight of Brentwood, TN, Jamie (Shelly) Knight of Benton City, WA, and Nicole (Mario) Gutierrez of Columbus, MS; step daughter – Aimee (Carlton) Weathers of Anniston, AL; 17 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sister – Vivydean Jaynes of Columbus, MS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
