John "Jack" Barry Gregg, 73 of Ethelsville, AL passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT after an extended illness with his family by his side.

No services will be scheduled.

Mr. Gregg was born December 4, 1943, in Merchantville, New Jersey. He was in the US Army and he proudly served his country. Mr. Gregg was a Vietnam Veteran and he also supported the Vietnam Veteran Wall. He worked in shipping and receiving at Seminole for many years. Mr. Gregg loved his family very much and will deeply be missed. He had a special love for his sister-in-law Carol. Mr. Gregg has lived in this area for the past 40 years. He will be truly missed by his furry little companions. You can rest now, we love you, and you will always be with us. Mr. Gregg is preceded in death by his mother- Sarah Bradshaw.

Mr. Gregg is survived by his wife of 44 years- Cathy Jaynes Gregg; daughter- Tamara Gregg of Ethelsville, AL; sister- Nancy (Paul) Rock of New Jersey; and his furry friends.

The family wishes to thank the Baptist Memorial Hospital Critical Care Unit especially his nurse Lauren. Thank you to Amedisys Home Health for their help and Abbey Brown who was his speech therapist and helped him get his voice back.
