Jack Henry Starr. 70, of Caledonia, MS, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle.

A visitation service will be held on July 16, 2022, at Lowndes Funeral Home from 2:00 -3:00 PM.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rutledge officiating.  Interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Starr was born February 27, 1952, in Peoria, IL, to Catherine Starr & the late Robert Starr.  He served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.  Mr. Starr also worked as an Air Traffic Controller and worked for the US Postal Service.  He served as an umpire for a variety of competitive sports and was a member of the Umpire Association.  Mr. Starr was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.  In addition to his father, Mr. Starr is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Starr.

Mr. Starr is survived by his mother, Catherine Starr; brothers – William (Rhonda) Starr and Robert (Vonnie) Starr; sisters – Michele (William) Winters and Rebecca (Lee) Elaban; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be William Starr, Robert Starr, Lee Elaban, Jake Williams, Billy Craig, and Joe Winters.  Honorary pallbearers will be Williams Winters and Mike Salas.
