Obituary

Nellie Jack May Hall, 73 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 1-2pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Steve Brown officiating. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery in Fernbank, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Hall was born September 12, 1939 in Lamar County, AL to the late Thornton Alexander and Abbie Mae Funderburk May. She was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall worked at United Technologies for 25 yrs. She attended Sunday School, went to The Junction, enjoyed gardening and riding her 3 wheel bicycle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Glen Hall. Mrs. Hall is survived by children, Cheri Hall and Pam Beasley both of Columbus, MS, and Rocky Glen Hall of Crestview, FL, brothers, Jim May of Fayette, Al., Howard May of Syracuse, IN, Bob May of Winfield, AL, sisters, Betty Fields of Millport, AL, Billie Jean Coleman and Dolly Henderson both of Columbus, MS, grandchildren , Wesley Jordan Hall and Lindsey Beasley, great grandchild, Emilyn Marie Buzbee. Pallbearers will be Roger Shaw, Jimmy May, Brent Hall, Allan Hall, Nathan Hall, Terry Fields and Kenny Fields. Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Hall, Charlie Baucom, Ryan Baucom, Billy Vail and Bobby Bell.
