Mrs. Barnes was born April 03, 1961 in Huntsville, AL to the late Harry Woodrow and Evelyn Turner. She graduated from Lamar County High School in 1979. She served her country faithfully, working as an Aircraft Mechanic, while enlisted in the United States Air Force. A Baptist by faith she was a wonderful wife and mother and was especially proud of her duties as a "Grandmaw" to her one grandson. Mrs. Barnes enjoyed travelling with her husband, and was very fond of cruising to various destinations. She enjoyed flower gardening, crappie fishing and had a heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. Her talent and artistry were best exhibited in the beautiful quilts that she was able to create, as quilting was one of her great passions. She loved spending time in her quilting room.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband of 27 years, Mark Barnes; sons: Murphy (Kendyl) Turner or Tyler, TX and James (Kayla) Underhill of Caledonia; brother Harry Turner and sister Jennifer Turner, both of Winchester, TN, her precious grandson Bentley Underhill and her special best friend Jennifer Garrard.
