Jacqueline Williams, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Trinity Healthcare in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Al Hamm officiating and Rev. Jearl Hunley assisting. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Williams was born February 27, 1938, in Columbus, MS to the late Lillie Mobley Shelton and Noel Lawley Shelton. She worked at Fairlane Book and Bible, Robert's Apothecary,  and a teacher's aid at Victory Christian Academy. Over the years, Mrs. Williams played the piano at Northside Free Will Baptist Church, East End Baptist Church, First Free Will Baptist Church, Victory Free Will Baptist Church, and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, taught Sunday School at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and taught piano for many years.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband- Earl Williams; brother- Joe Shelton; and sister- Merle Hemby.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son- Byron (Carra) Williams of Columbus, MS; daughter- Donna (Kenny) Summerall of West Point, MS; grandchildren- Anna Kate (David) Howell, Kyle (Kendra) Summerall; Stephen (Carrie) Williams, Amber Summerall, and Ashley Summerall; great-grandchildren- Christopher Howell III, Meredith Howell, Caroline Howell, and Colton Sinko.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Crenshaw, Grady Prevost, Greg Youngblood, Chris Hamm, Kevin Harrell, and Kevin Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Atkins and the Staff of Trinity Healthcare.
