James "Jim" Anderson Brown,83, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Bread of Life Church with Bro. Jack Taylor officiating.

Mr. Brown was born on October 21, 1938, to the late Edith Hooper Brown and Noah Brown in Waverly, TN. He loved old cars, knives, working in his yard, especially his flowers and his stray and feral cats. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Brown; daughter, Carol Skains; grandchildren, David Knight and Kayla Robison; sister- Dorothy Walker and son-in-law, Gerald Jones.

Mr. Brown is survived by his children, Joe (Nelda) Brazeale of Pheba, MS, Jimmy Knight, Columbus, MS, Ricky (Kathy) Knight  Edgemont, AR, Sharon Jones of Columbus, MS, and James (Judy) Smith of Columbus, MS; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; brother, George (Pamela) Brown of Murphysboro, TN; sisters, Shirley (William) Cavness of Waverly, TN and Sandra  Ingalls of Waverly, TN.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bread of Life Church.
