James Edward "Ed" Barham,78, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Oktibbeha County Hospital, Starkville, MS.

A visitation will be Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Life Church. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM officiated by Bobby Richardson assisted by Nick Cannady and Jody Andrews and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Barham was born on May 21, 1942, in Vernon, AL to the late Millie Grey Barham and Joel Barham. He served in the United States Marine Corps and then worked for Yellow Freight as a truck driver for many years. James Edward was a servant of God who loved his family dearly - his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was the most giving person who would help anyone in need and lend a helping hand whether it be mowing the lawn, working on cars, or whatever needed to be fixed.  We all knew if Papaw couldn't fix it, we were all screwed.  He loved being outdoors, playing solitaire, and catfishing, and spending time with his friends at the Tennessee River. He was an amazing man who will be terribly missed.  He was his family's hero.

Mr. Barham is survived by his wife of 41 years- Sallie Gayle Henry Barham of Columbus, MS; daughters- Amy (Bobby) Richardson of Columbus, MS and Jamie (Nick) Cannady of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Robby Richardson, Austin (Randah) Richardson, Taylor (Madison) Richardson, Kelsie (Alan Solomon) Hoover, Kodie Hoover, Kalieb Hoover, Kolten Guess, and Andrea Cannady; great-grandchildren- Landyn Richardson, Easton Richardson, and Maxton Richardson; brothers-Jim Barham; Clay Barham, Earl Barham, and Paul Barham; and sister- Louise Pritchard.

Pallbearers will be Robby Richardson, Austin Richardson, Taylor Richardson, Kodie Hoover, Alan Solomon, and James Hoover standing in for Kalieb Hoover who is at Army Basic Training. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Brackin,
